PA Master Naturalist Program is Returning to Silver Lake Nature Center this Fall

Connect with Nature – Become a Pennsylvania Master Naturalist.

 DEADLINE APPROACHING – Are you looking for a rewarding volunteer experience while enjoying your natural areas? Pennsylvania Master Naturalist is seeking citizen volunteers who are passionate about nature and want to help protect our natural heritage by giving back. Volunteers learn about the natural history and ecology of their local ecosystem and much more. After training, they extend that knowledge to the community through volunteer service in natural resource education and conservation. Master Naturalists also form lasting friendships while socializing with other volunteers with the same interests.

Master Naturalist volunteer service opportunities are many and varied and accomplished annually. Class size is limited for this highly popular program so apply today.

Master Naturalists learn:

– basic ecology, geology, hydrology, and plant/animal communities of local natural areas;

– teaching techniques and interpretation tips;

– values and benefits that natural areas add to our lives;

– locations and secrets of little-known natural areas.

The program will take place at the Silver Lake Nature Center in Bucks County in Fall of 2018. Training dates and times in 2017 are: September 11, 18, 22*, 25; October 2, 9, 13*, 16, 23, 27*, 30; November 3*, 6, 13 (*denotes field sessions).

You must attend all training dates and times. For pricing, a detailed schedule, more information, and/or to apply online, visit http://pamasternaturalist.org and click on Become a PA Master Naturalist, or contact Ellyn Nolt at enolt@pamasternaturalist.org or (717) 368-4899.
