Water Quality Monitoring

For real time water quality data in Mill Creek click here!

Our goal is to: Monitor the health of the Mill Creek/Silver Lake Watershed, and share this information with our community, to ensure the health and safety of all living organisms within the watershed.

Our water quality monitoring team has been collecting data within the Mill Creek (Otter Creek) Watershed since 2012.  Our chemical data includes pH, DO, salinity, temperature, turbidity, nitrates and phosphates.  We also monitor each site visually during each sampling event and take notes about water color, odor, and litter present.  We have established a baseline of what the “norms” are, and continue monitoring in order to detect changes.

If you are interested in participating in our Watershed Monitoring group, please contact Cameron Calista at cecalista@buckscounty.org or 267.880.5024 to volunteer for the group.
