When Raymie moved from Kentucky to Bucks County in 2021, she knew she had to join SLNC! She began as the Volunteer Coordinator and then the Assistant Director Naturalist in July 2024. She has had a lifelong passion for the outdoors and for the environment that began early on when her father would take her bird watching and camping almost every weekend. She graduated from Lake Superior State University in 2001 and received a BS in Parks and Recreation Management and an AAS in Natural Resources with a minor in Biology. She has been in the field from performing breeding bird surveys with the US Forest Service to owning her own business in environmental sustainability. She is committed to the education and stewardship of the natural world and the responsible management of resources to ensure for future generations.

Holly’s journey with Silver Lake Nature Center began in 2014 when she joined as a (CIT) counselor in training for our summer camp. Her commitment and devotion quickly propelled her to the roles of intern and counselor, eventually leading her to the position of Camp Director/Environmental Educator. In this role, she oversees all homeschool, day-off camp, and summer camp programs, designing each activity to encourage exploration and learning.
An avid outdoor enthusiast, Holly enjoys kayaking, fishing, hiking, and traveling. With a special passion for working with children, she creates a welcoming environment where young minds can explore and learn about the wonders of nature.
Holly looks forward to meeting you and your children at our nature center, where learning and adventure go hand in hand!
Welcome, Alyssa McCormick, the newest member of the SLNC Team!
Alyssa joined the Silver Lake Nature Center team in August of 2024 as an Administrative Assistant and Environmental Educator. She credits her lifelong love of nature to her experiences as a child attending SLNC public & scout programs. She went on to receive her B.S. in Environmental Science and Botany at Chatham University in 2022 where she studied the effects of invasive plant species on ecosystems. She previously worked at Friends of Hopewell Valley Open Space as a Land Steward and at SLNC as a Camp Counselor. She is excited to get to know visitors in the Visitors’ Center and inspire a love for nature in children through environmental education.
