DESCRIPTION:Event is FULL. Registration has closed. We hope to see you at another event soon!  \nNew this season! \nBird watching from the water is an amazing sight and the resident birds of Silver Lake are plentiful along\nits banks. In this two-hour course\, the class will go over the basics of kayaking and embark on a journey\nup Silver Lake into Magnolia Lake. Along the way\, we will be on the lookout for the many different birds\nof Silver Lake. Some known birds you might get a look at from the water are the Great Blue Heron\, the\nGreat Egret and the Red-winged Blackbird. So\, bring your binoculars\, excitement\, and bird knowledge to\nshare and we will see you on the lake. \nSpace is very limited. Pre-registration/payment is required (at least 2 days prior to program) in order to participate. To register\, please scroll down\, call 215-785-1177\, or stop into the Visitors’ Building. \nAdditional Details: \nWhat to Wear: Closed-toe footwear that can get wet and muddy (no flip-flops); Comfortable clothing that can get wet; Hat; Sunglasses; Sun-block lotion. \nWhat to Bring: Bottled Water/Sports Drink; Towel. \nRestrictions: Our Kayaks are best suited for people between the height of 4ft 10in and 6ft 2in\, and between 90 lbs. and 225 lbs. If you are over/under these guidelines\, please call us to discuss alternate accommodations. \n
