SUMMARY:Intro to Kayaking
DESCRIPTION:**Registration is CLOSED for this event. But please look out for it again on September 5th.** \n  \nHave you ever wanted to learn how to maneuver a kayak? Well here is your chance. This two hour class\, led by Kayaking Instructor\, Melanie Pawlowski\, introduces you to the parts of a kayak\, how to hold and move a kayak paddle\, how to enter and exit a kayak\, ways to keep your balance while kayaking and\, of course\, how to get around on the water in a kayak. The Introduction to Kayaking class takes place right on the waters of Silver Lake. \n**ALL Kayaking Programs for the 2020 Season have a MAXIMUM CAPACITY of 10 participants per program.** \nPre-registration/payment is required (at least 2 days prior to program) in order to participate. To register\, please scroll down\, call 215-785-1177\, or stop into the Visitors’ Building. \nAdditional Details: \nWhat to Wear: Closed-toe footwear that can get wet and muddy (no flip-flops); Comfortable clothing that can get wet; Hat; Sunglasses; Sun-block lotion. \nWhat to Bring: Bottled Water/Sports Drink; Towel. \nRestrictions: Our Kayaks are best suited for people between the height of 4ft 10in and 6ft 2in\, and between 90 lbs. and 225 lbs. If you are over/under these guidelines\, please call us to discuss alternate accommodations. \n \n
