SUMMARY:Waterway Cleanup Day
DESCRIPTION:DOW Sponsors Waterway Cleanup at Silver Lake Nature Center on Saturday\, October 1st\, 9am – 2 pm   \nHelp clean your local watershed! Come out to help us remove the trash that accumulates during the year. We will be cleaning up in and around Silver Lake and Magnolia Lake\, as well as all of the land and water in between. \nIn partnership with DOW and International Coastal Cleanup\, we will put on our work gloves and life vests to clear litter and debris from the land and waters of Silver Lake Park and Nature Preserve. \n Silver Lake and Magnolia Lake are a part of the Delaware River Watershed\, so our efforts to remove trash from shorelines and water will benefit a broad range of communities. \nThis event is held rain or shine. Remember; please wear clothes you don’t mind getting wet and dirty\, bring layers to keep warm or change into\, and bring a refillable water bottle. \nIf you own a kayak or canoe and/or have a Boat and Water Safety Awareness Certification please contact us ahead of time; you will be asked to help us collect the litter and debris from the water instead of from shore. \nCome out and join us.
