DESCRIPTION:The Invasive Plants Removal Team meets once a month to help clear Invasive Plants from specific areas on the SLNC Grounds/Trails. Each season brings new plants in various degrees of difficulty\, and also serves as a learning opportunity! These Project Days also involve planting native plants and trees. \nSpots are limited for this event\, so please register in advance! Register by scrolling down. Thank you! \n*Volunteers under age 18 must have an accompanying parent/legal guardian with them for the duration of the event. No exceptions. Thank you. \n*Mandated Community Service Volunteers must also contact SLNC Assistant Director\, Raymie Barry\, prior to registration for any Volunteer Events at rabarry@buckscounty.org or 267-880-5020.

DESCRIPTION:Looking for native plants to add to your garden? Come check out our selection of native plants grown here at Silver Lake Nature Center on Saturday\, June 14! The sale will continue throughout the following week until we sell out. \nSeeds were sown using the Winter Sowing Method taught at our class in November 2024. Our plants have been soaking up the sunshine in our Earthship and are ready to take root in your home garden! Not only do native plants support pollinators and birds\, but they are also a low maintenance option with reduced watering needs and no need for fertilizers or soil amendments. We hope you will take this opportunity to support native biodiversity and the Friends of SLNC!
