SILVER LAKE NATURE CENTER’S SUMMER CAMP
General Camp Information
Welcome to the Silver Lake Nature Center Summer Camp! We are thrilled to offer an engaging and educational experience for campers aged 5-14. Our camp operates Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. For your convenience, we provide before and aftercare services:
Before Care: 8:00 AM – 9:00 AM ($50 per week)
After Care: 4:00 PM – 5:30 PM ($50 per week)
Please note that there is a $1 per minute fee for late pickups. The weekly registration fee is $285, which includes lunch and snacks. A partial payment is required to secure your child’s spot.
Registration opens January 2, 2025 at 10am
Week 1: June 16th-June 20th
Week 2: June 23rd-June 27th
Week 3: June 30th-July 4th
Week 4: July 7th-July 11th
Week 5: July 14th- July 18th
Week 6: July 21st-July 25th
Week 7: July 28th-August 1st
Week 8: August 4th-August 8th
Week 9: August 11th-August 15th
Week 10: August 18th-August 22nd
Overnight Camp $75 (ages 9-14): July 18th
Waitlist:
In the event that a desired week is fully booked, you can still register to join the waitlist. Spots are filled on a first -come, first-served basis from the waitlist, so we encourage early registration.
Camp Programming:
Our camp offers a diverse range of activities designed to educate and inspire a love for the outdoors. Your child will participate in engaging activities such as:
Kayaking
Hiking
Fishing
Games
Experiments
Each activity integrates educational content, allowing your child to learn while exploring the natural environment around them.
Refund Policy:
We understand that plans can change, so we offer the following refund policy:
-Cancellations more than 7 days before camp: Receive a 50% refund.
-Cancellations less than 7 days before camp: No refund.
-No-shows: No refund.
-If Silver Lake Nature Center cancels: A full refund will be issued.
Counselor In Training (CIT):
For students aged 15 to 17, we offer a Counselor In Training (CIT) program that provides a fantastic opportunity to gain experience and contribute to our camp. CITs are required to volunteer for at least 2 weeks, working from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday. Responsibilities include:
-Assisting counselors with programs
-Helping children feel welcomed during camp
-Participating in fun activities
Interested students must complete an application and participate in an interview process. A mandatory orientation is held before the camp begins. CITs can request letters of recommendation or confirmation of volunteer hours for school purposes.

Counselors:
Silver Lake Nature center is looking for nature-oriented individuals who are 18+ and have at least 2 years of college classes completed.
