Camp Programming:
All of our counselors and staff are college educated and ready to teach your student about the natural
world. At camp, your student will enjoy awesome activities such as kayaking, hiking, fishing, games,
experiments, and much more! Each of these activities come with educational content. Your child will
learn about the natural world while exploring it themselves!
Refund Policy:
Cancellations more than 7 days before camp will receive a 50% refund. Cancellations less than 7 days
before camp will not receive a refund. There are no refunds for no-shows. If Silver Lake Nature Center
cancels a full refund will be issued.
Now Hiring Counselor In Training (CIT):
Students ages 15 – 17 have the opportunity to volunteer their time to be counselors in training at summer
camp. These students are required to work at least 2 weeks from 8:30am – 4:30pm Monday to Friday. CITs
assist counselors in conducting programs. They help children explore the nature center’s habitats, play games,
make crafts, and have fun! Students interested must fill out an application and will go through the interview
process. There is a mandatory orientation before summer camp starts. CITs may ask for letters of recommendation
or letters to confirm their volunteer hours for school.
If your student is interested in a CIT position, please reach out to Trisha at v-pmnichols@buckscounty.org and she
will email you a copy of the job description and application.
