Join us for a peaceful walk observing the wonderful fall foliage at the Silver Lake Nature Center!

We will start with a brief indoor discussion of what makes leaves transform into the beautiful colors we love and why some trees keep their leaves through the fall and winter. We will also discuss some ways to identify trees based on their leaves. Then we will get outside and enjoy a peaceful walk through the trails, observing the beautiful colors and the sounds of fall animals scurrying about. We will try to identify some trees based on their crisp, fallen leaves. The focus of this foray is using our senses to enjoy the serenity of nature in autumn.

Pre-Registration is required. Registration is $8 per person, or $5 per person for members of the Friends of SLNC.
