PLEASE NOTE for TODAY’S SLNC EARTHSHIP TOURS:

A portion of the Trail leading to the SLNC Earthship is temporarily closed due to nesting Guinea Paper Wasps (which are currently awaiting relocation).

To access the SLNC Earthship, the Parking Lot at Silver Lake Park is available. Please park there and use the Accessible Trail to the SLNC Earthship from that direction.

These insects are typically non-aggressive and play an important role in our ecosystem. They help pollinate plants, naturally keep other insect populations in check, and even provide a food source for birds. 🌿🐦

For your safety, please do not enter the closed portion of the trail or disturb the nest.
