Join us for this , open to the public, Special Presentation of our VERY popular “Hibernation Happens” program!
Throughout the winter, this unique program is offered to groups (mostly from Preschoolers to 2nd Graders & their parents/caregivers & teachers. All participants get to have fun, learn, & use their imaginations, no matter their age! :o) . In honor of Groundhog Day 2018, we are offering this program to the public! ONE DAY ONLY!!
“Winter is here. What happens to animals that live near? Do they sleep, migrate, or freeze? Let’s crawl into the Hibernation Hut to learn about their winter strategies.”
Program starts inside the Visitors’ Building where children will get to crawl through a tunnel into the Groundhog’s Home, where our (puppet) animal friends will talk about their winter lives. (We, of course, also have a “grown-up groundhog” entrance for the adults in the group.)
After visiting the Groundhog’s Home inside the Visitors’ Building, we will venture outside for a walk on the Trails to find Animal Homes & Signs in Nature! Feel free to bring a snack or lunch and stay for a picnic (indoors or outdoors)!
The cost for this very special event is $6/PERSON (all ages). Pre-registration/payment is required (by 2-1-18) as there is very limited space for this program. Please scroll down for registration/payment or call 215-785-1177 or stop into the Visitors’ Building.
