Event Navigation
Have you seen the interesting Stone structure outside of the Earthship?
On Saturday, April 2nd, at 4pm, you will have a chance to learn why it’s there, how it got there, and participate in its special Dedication Ceremony. For more details, please see below…
A unique event will take place at Silver Lake Nature Center on Saturday, April 2nd, from 4 to 6pm to dedicate the “Sacred Stone Circle” that was created by Dr. Scott A. Ogburn, Ph.D in Sacred Architecture.
The “blessing” dedication ceremony for the Sacred Stone Circle of white marble at the Silver Lake Nature Center, in front of the Earthship, will be based on various Native American “blessings” for their Sacred Spaces.
First, Dr. Ogburn will say a few words, along with some light drumming, invoking the help of Mother Earth, Father Sky and the Great Spirit to bless and protect this Sacred Stone Circle. He will also ask that Mother Earth, Father Sky and the Great Spirit also provide positive and loving “etheric Earth energy” to the Sacred Stone Circle for people to enjoy for meditation and prayer, in the shape of an “etheric cone of positive Earth energy” over the Circle, while sitting on the center stone of the Sacred Stone Circle.
He will also repeat, in the Mayan language, a brief prayer in Mayan for “World Peace for All Mankind”, that he learned from visiting a Mayan Shaman in the remote jungle of the northern Yucatan of Mexico.
Finally, everyone attending are encouraged to bring their own drums or other musical instruments to play during the “blessing” ceremony. And, everyone attending will also be encouraged to say a few words or prayers of their own for the Sacred Stone Circle after Dr. Ogburn finishes speaking his part of the “blessing” dedication ceremony.
There is no charge for this special event, but anyone planning on attending is asked to contact Silver Lake Nature Center at SilverLakeNatureCenter@buckscounty.org or 215-785-1177.
