SLNC extends a huge thanks to ALL of our Members who attended our Annual Meeting/Member Appreciation last Saturday (3/15) AND also to those who couldn’t be there!
This was a great time to learn more about some of the awesome things that happen at SLNC year ‘round AND to meet/greet with other Members, Board Members, Staff, and even some of our Resident Reptiles!

Funds raised by Membership, donations, program fees, fundraising events, store sales et al benefit the nonprofit Friends of SLNC organization. The Friends of SLNC is a symbiotic/supporting organization that works with the County of Bucks for Silver Lake Nature Center & Silver Lake Park – of the Bucks County Parks & Recreation Dept.
Three of SLNC’s five full-time Staff are funded by the nonprofit Friends of SLNC:
Sue Kiernan, Bookkeeper/Office Mgr; Holly Hewchuk, Camp Director/Environmental Educator
Alyssa McCormick, Environmental Educator/Admin Assistant. Two of the Staff are funded by the County of Bucks: Raymie Barry, Assistant Director-Naturalist/Volunteer Coordinator and PattiAnn Cutter, Director-Naturalist. We all work together symbiotically as one Team.

At our Annual Meeting, all new &/or returning Friends of SLNC Board Members were voted in by the Membership. This volunteer Board now has the maximum number allowed according to the Friends of SLNC’s bylaws, 15 Members. We are grateful for all Friends of SLNC Board Members, past & present, for all of their support & dedication to SLNC.
