SLNC is NOT licensed or equipped to accept injured or orphaned animals. Do not leave injured/orphaned wildlife or unwanted pets at SLNC. To be of help to the Animal, please contact one of the following organizations for assistance (before taking action).

General Tips for Injured/Orphaned Wildlife:
- Before acting, call one of the above Centers for instructions.
- Do not handle. Human exposure can be dangerous to the animal and decrease its chances of survival.
- Do not attempt to feed or give water to the animal.
- Do not release orphaned animals into the wild. It can impact other wildlife by spreading disease and can also be harmful to the orphaned animal.
- Please keep in mind that oftentimes, animals may seem injured or orphaned, but are not. So please follow the above tips before acting. Thank you.
