We are beyond words saddened to share news that very dear Friend, longtime Volunteer to SLNC, Eileen T. Swank – “Cinders” has passed away.💔😞

Cinders did so much at SLNC, and touched the lives of so many people. It was an incredible honor to know her.

Cinders led the Campfire portion of our Scout Night Hike-Campfire-Sleepover programs & Night Hike Birthday Parties. She would do an amazing job leading the groups in sing-a-longs, sharing stories, sharing Scouting history, and teaching all who attended any of our campfire programs about fire safety. She was so good at captivating everyone’s attention (ALL ages) with her stories at the campfire and having everyone join in the sing-a-longs.

Cinders would also Volunteer as a Greeter inside the SLNC Visitors Center, welcoming thousands of people over the years. In addition, Cinders quilted a beautiful tablecloth for us to use at offsite info-table events. She also used her incredible and creative quilting and artistic talents to enhance some of our educational program sets that involve puppetry.

Cinders was an amazing human and dear Friend who is missed hugely, beyond words.

A service to celebrate Cinders’ life will be held at SLNC on Saturday, August 23rd, at 2pm – at the SLNC Outdoor Amphitheater (1306 Bath Rd., Bristol, PA 19007).
