Join us for the Silver Lake Nature Center Mini BioBlitz on March 22, 2025 from 10 am to 12 pm. We’ll meet at the SLNC Visitors’ Center for a quick orientation and workshop on using iNaturalist, and then head out on the trails to observe as many species as possible.

If you can find a wild animal or plant and take a picture of it, you can participate as a bioblitz observer! A bioblitz is a fun, communal effort to record as many species within a designated location and time period as possible, providing us with an understanding of biodiversity at SLNC. We’ll be recording observations for all organisms – insects, birds, plants, reptiles, mushrooms… all the nature we can find! Bring your smartphone with the iNaturalist app installed, and wear your hiking shoes!
