Join us for a Mini BioBlitz on Saturday, September 20, 2025, from 2 pm to 4 pm. We’ll meet inside the SLNC Visitors’ Center for a quick orientation and workshop on using iNaturalist, and then head out on the Trails to observe as many species as possible.

If you can find a wild animal or plant and take a picture of it, you can participate as a bioblitz observer! A bioblitz is a fun, communal effort to record as many species within a designated location and time period as possible, providing us with an understanding of biodiversity at SLNC. We’ll be recording observations for all organisms – insects, birds, plants, reptiles, mushrooms… all the nature we can find! Bring your smartphone with the iNaturalist app installed, and wear your hiking shoes!
